My Baby B. went on a field trip today! It sucks because I so wanted to go. I have too much work, though. Blah. Anyway, she was so excited to have her little brown lunch bag and her drink. She actually didn't give me a hard time about waking up this morning either. Usually it takes me tapping her on her leg, then turning the TV on, then turning the lights on, then picking her up and putting her on the couch in a sitting position. LOL. This morning it was like she just shot up out of the bed and ran to the bathroom to start washing up for the day. I just laughed. She's hilarious. This girl is too smart for her age. She knows absolutely no spanish, so when I don't want them listening to my conversation, I speak in spanish. Well, now I'm realizing that she's starting to understand more because yesterday I had this conversation with Daddy in the car...all in spanish.
Me- I'm thinking of putting her in dance class.
Dad- Really?
Me- Yeah, I think she's ready. I definitely think she'd love the experience.
Dad- Okay.
Me- I'll talk to her more about it tonight.
Dad- Do we have to buy anything?
Me- Yes, but she just needs a few practice outfits first.
Dad- What is she gonna be learning?
Me- Ballet Folklorico
I didn't get a chance to talk to her about it last night. Then, this morning when she comes out of the bathroom..she says..Mommy, I thought you were going to talk to me about dance class? I said what?! You told Daddy yesterday about me and dance class! I said B., I did talk to Daddy about it, but I didn't think you understood. How did you know we were talking about you? Because you said baile (dance). I told her well, what if I told Daddy that I wanted to go to a dance? She said..No, cause you don't have to buy things to go to a dance. I said..what do we have to buy for you to be in dance class? She said...my swimsuit..(LOL) you know...that thing to practice in. I said..your leotard? She said yeah, cause I only have one.. She listened to a few of the key words in our conversation, and started to piece them together. She scares me sometimes. Baile, comprarle, and of course Ballet Folklorico.
I think I'm gonna have to start speaking in Pig-latin or something now. She hasn't learned any of that.
